Perfect timing! Keel came today while she is home! She got to surprise quite a few people so far and will surprise a few more at the family reunion Monday erode she has to return to base. Of course I haven't seen too much of her so far because she is busy seeing all her friends ! Regardless...it is GREAT having her home !!

Soccermom:  I've been to Whidbey Island countless times - my family used to have a cabin there when I was a kid.  There is so much fun stuff to see in the Seattle area- you will have a great time visiting!  Let me know if you need ideas of what to see and do!

NavyJane: I've never been to Washington State but friends of mine that have vacationed there say they loved it.  I have look at several YouTube videos of Whidbey Island which I was amazed how beautiful the area was.  It literally brought tears to my eyes...As a mom, I feel a little uneasy with my son being so far away but I'm so thankful that it is state side & that it is not only one of the most beautiful parts of the country but the locals embrace the military families.  I hope to visit by this time next year.

Have you visited Whidbey Island?

I asked my son (two minutes ago-he was in his room for lunch break) and he said that he has limited time and so do most of the others, even on the weekends. We will have to play it by ear. Okay, I'll keep the pc for someone else, join up with the Pillowcase Project at Heads at Ease, if you want to make some more!

Soccermom- your son is going to Whidbey Island - I live an hour away from there and it is beautiful.  I bet he will love it!

My daughter interviewed and was selected to do C school to be a canine specialist.  She graduates Master-at-Arms school tomorrow (military police) and then stays in San Antonio for 13 weeks of C school to be trained with working military dogs.  She's excited and so are we!

It's exciting to hear about your wedding plans, Claysgirl!  I'm so happy for you!
