AnthonysProudMom: When you say Marriott, do you mean the Residence Inn?
I hope that you will go to your PIR MeetNGreet at the Ramada. It is put on by the Ramada for every PIR group, 6-8 pm...and includes all families with sailors PIRing the next day (not just NavyforMom families). It is a great time to meet others and spread the word of N4Ms to families who have no idea that this site exists! We stayed at Residence...loved it. Great hotel...and pet friendly for those driving wishing to bring pets to reunite with their sailors!
Residence has the PIR shuttle ($3/pp each way and you reserve it when you check in)---shuttles are actually just taxis that they line up--- the hotel has free hot buffet breakfast in the lobby each morning, they are located in a quiet area by an office park, close to the Walmart shopping center where the Springhill Suites and Courtyard (both Marriotts) are located, along with some restaurants. We had a 2-bedroom 2-bath and really enjoyed that...full kitchens. Be sure to check out the AAA rate if you have that, in addition to the PIR rate.
