I was going to book through Travelocity & when I called I was told that there is a $25 charge to change flights & that each airline also has a fee which normally is $100 on up plus any additional flight increase charges. There isurance also told me that insurance only covers in case of death in immediate family, illness or accient but that documentation is required to submit a claim.

When I asked about if had to change a flight to to delay in graduation I was told that is not covered.

I ended up booking through Priceline, they don't have any fees, their insurance is $16 & then I called American Airlines & if I have to change my flight it will be $150 a ticket!

I am praying that my boy makes it & grads on 4-15!

Jaime, Thanks for the FB idea, I have here password also, I will put those post in the letter I write tonight, that will put a smile on her face. Ladies have you tried travolocity, I got my ticket from them and they have a travel protection that if you have to change your flight, it will not be a large amountt the protection is only 20.00.  I looked on United.com and if I had to change my flight it would have been 150.00, so I went with united but went through travolocity. I hope this helps.

Thanks ladies. Its just so hard - my family as i know it (6 of us) is over. It so weird without him here. And with all our family has been through over the last cpl of months (daughter's 7 year old friend killed, close family member death and very close friend of family death - my best friend), we are all still trying to adjust to everything. I just feel like I'm suffocating sometimes. Then my 14 year is talking about joining the Air Force in 4 years, so it just feels like one big hill I'm sliding down. Ugh. I am being upbeat in letters to him, though. I printed up the Twitter pages of the people he'd been following, too. And I wrote him a funny letter from our dog.

Just waiting for it to get somewhat easier. It does fell better knowing you all understand what its like. My friends just don't understand.

Maisy- If I was there I would give you a hug.  I know I could use one!  Sat down yesterday to write my son and cried the entire time.  It was really hard to try to stay upbeat throughout the letter but I was determined  not to let on to him how I was feeling. I'm praying you get your letter today.  Believe me, it will make you feel better!  Hang in there.  We're all with you.

maisy:  Welcome.   Don't feel badly because all of the letters people on here are writing probably have not been received yet by the SRs. The mail is held from them for the first 2 weeks.  You should be receiving the form letter this week with his address.  Is there anyone else he would have sent it to instead of you?  They can only send out one letter.  They choose who receives it.  If you are the one for sure to receive it, hopefully it will be there this week.
