Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Ashleysmamaluciana on February 23, 2011 at 11:59pm: Thank you,that's what I thought:(...he did say he would give me a copy:) I don't blame her,she's a girl in love, and so proud of her.The thing that worries me a lot is that I called her recruiter 72hrs after she left and he gave to me her address to to write her,and I've been sending letters,but when her boyfriend got the form letter the address has "recruit training command" as part of it,and thats the only part that got missed..do you know if is she will still receive the letters?? I sure hope so, I've sent pics,calling card,stamps.

I love this site,i've been trying to figure it out,and the info.is awesome!!!

My daughter Ashley left for bc on 2/14..saddest day ever:(...when my co-workers ask how Im doing or if I've heard from her,the tears just flow.I feel like everyone here is on the same page wondering what's going on,how are they doing,...this whole thing not knowing is the hardest thing ever! I did get her box,(so weird to say that) on sat.I was so happy to get something,but sad at the same time...big wave of emotions.My first question is does any one know if more than one letter that has the grad. date can be sent? my daughters boyfriend got one,and he thought I would get one too?

I sent another short letter today asking him to put my sister on the list. We wanted to surprise him, but guess that's not practical thinking on my part. I still can't believe how happy a form letter with a few sentences could make me!
