Please feel free to join our chats, we love talking about everything from work, family, weather - whatever. Plus the joyful and anxiety filled journey of being a Navy Mom!!!  .  It's also a great place if you want to yell, scream, vent, cry - - there is no judgment involved!!!  Brag about your sailor but also tell us when you are hurting because you miss her so!!!  We look forward to learning about you and your sailor!!!  Again, Welcome Aboard!!

Hi, again.  I talked to my son, and he said rotation for shore duty depends on the job the sailor does on the ship.  Depending on the job, it can be two years on cruise, two years on shore.  Because of Eric's job, his was 5 years of cruise and 3 years of shore duty.

Also, did your daughter Ashley tell you that the Reagan is going to change home port for one year to Bremerton, Washington, around the beginning of January, 2012?  Bremerton is close to Seattle.  She may not have been able to do so because they may not be able to divulge that via e-mail or phone.  Eric said they are basically going into the shipyards.  How far are you from Seattle?

Hi!  I was going to ask if it was okay to call you Luciana (such a pretty name!), but I see others write that, too.  Where is your daughter stationed?

I am going to VA to see my Sailor and I am hoping to meet as many other moms, wives, family friends, etc as possible. I wish I ahd a few who lived near by me but I haven't found any lol. Anyway, about the ribbons, Your ribbons look fabulous, they are finished and they were shipped yesterday. You should have them by the weekend. Please let me know when they arrive. Thanks again, Lora
