My Sailor flying out tomorrow out of Midway tomorrow @ 5pm however they are are going to be @ the airport @ 5am. I was wondering if Midway will allow me to give my sons belongings to him? If so, where is it @?

We had a great afternoon and evening with our sailor. He was so nervous about reporting back late and with the rain it complicated the traffic but we made it in time. Got up at 2am to get out to OHare and met some of the other sailors. Our sailor's flight was at 6am so we stayed until they boarded. Glad we made the effort because it was very relaxed. He texted us when he arrived in Boston and then he has a bus ride to Conn. Felt sorry for everyone  who has to wait there all day. Doesn't make sense to not allow them the liberty time. Sorry I didn't get to meet anyone face to face. We were at the meet n greet but it was hard to find anyone.Thank you all for being there and we'll meet someday!

We were just able to give James Dean his stuff at the airport. My husband had tried to get it to him last night but Dean wasn't there when he got there...we had breakfast with Bill and Sandy from Iowa this afternoon; their grandson is going to Mississippi, too, and they told us everyone was still at the airport so we jumped in the car and drove like bats out of hell to O'Hare. So we were able to see him yesterday and today. We are SO proud of him. And thanks everyone for your support during our time when we thought James Dean wasn't going to make it.

First of all I want to say Congrats on everyone's Sailors!! How awesome for you all!!! I wanted to know if you lovely ladies have any tips/advice about the graduation? What time did you get to the gate? How was the morning traffic? Is anyones Sailor an Honor Recruit? My husband is and I just had a few questions about that. Thank you so much in advance!! And again Congrats!!!! :-)

It WAS a wonderful day...after the snafu where they did not have my daughter's name on the list and she was in tears. One person at the door finally let her slip by - they had sent them to another bldg. We had planned to spend all day today in Chicago but the a**hole who assigned watch today was pissed because my son asked about it ahead of time so we could plan. He also refused to post it until 6 this morning. So...I picked him up at 8:15, he has to stand watch from noon - 4, then is free again. We will enjoy every second though - karma will catch up with the jerk!

PIR was awesome yesterday but the best part was spending time with my daughter I am so proud of what she has accomplished. It was good to meet some of the people at the Meet and greet and it was good to at least know what to expect yesterday.  I found out, that alot of times, I knew more about what was going on than my daughter did! Thank you to Navy for Moms for that knowledge you have been a true blessing to us.
