Welcome aboard Jenny. You might want to update your profile and remove your last name. It will help with operational security. Just use yur first name or something like that. It protects your sailor as well.

BB13, I think your one of the first from div 161 to get a call. What else did he share with you that you can pass along.

Angie F.- WA: HM / Pre Buds mom, i appreciate your comments and level headedness, I know I vented here (after all this is what we are here for) but I made sure to take the proper steps in dealing with the issue. I was lucky in that I have people in the know so to speak who told me where to go and who to talk to and in what order so that if a remedial action had become necessary I would be doing it the right way. I did not write my son back as yet and would not intentionally put him into a worse situation by my actions. I know that I am having to learn to let go as is he, but I questioned the timing of this (with him not being 100%) and all, plus not having been given good info last night by his recruiter added to the problem. I am thankful I went to the Office and spoke with the Recruiter in Charge, he was very helpful. Anyway I cannot imagine the strength it took you and your son to get through your situation. Thank you for caring enough to help me with your excellent advice.

Sailormom=cathie- Man, My son did say about 20 recruits got teeth out that week. My son was ALSO on LLD for that exact same time. Funny cause he talked to the "chief" that same week. I am seeing alot of similarities here. I WANT TO TALK TO MY SON !!!! His job was being changed around too.Languages...It sure doesn't seem right to ask these kids to make decisions while under medication and pain! NO CALL HERE STILL....I'm getting worried :(

Correction he was on LLD from 3/1 through 3/8

Aslo at this time when they "changed" my son's job, he ad been already on LLD since 3/1 to after 3/i, his letter today was dated 3/18, he had and I quote :been in SIQ for a couple of days, they RIPPED OUT 2 WISOM TEETH, AND THEY SAWED ONE IN HALF TO GET OUT", so this is the mental attitude necessary to make a career decision? I don't think so.
