For anyone whose loved one is ship 04 DIV 161, we have another group named 'SHIP 04 DIV 161 PIR 4/16/10', I saw a mention that someone couldn't see this group so I changed the privacy status so all can read and write on this group page, just wanted to let you all know, I still check in here daily too.

I am so happy for everyone who got phone calls and letters, and a special thank you for sharing with us, it really helps to hear details, it's almost like getting a letter myself. Kelbel3273, my son's foot was also a mess because of boots, he was put on LLD (limited light duty) for about a week because of it. Again thank you all.

Received 4 letters in one envelope today. He keeps mentioning how great it is to get mail. I'm enjoying his letters. I never thought he would be into writing. he has made some friends. He said he didn't have to get teeth pulled only a cleaning. Sounds like they are doing alot of push-ups.

We just got our phone call from our son. He sounded wonderful and I can't express how great we feel right now. He talked about 15 minutes and sounded so mature. He said he passed his swimming, push ups, sit ups and the first written test. The PT part I'm not concerned about, but the written tests are harder and apparently cumulative. So the next written test is Mon the 22nd and will be 60 questions with some of the same as on this first test. He said he studies all the time. Next week is Hell Week and he said he would probably be able to tell us when Battle Stations would be closer to graduation date. The last thing he said was, I love ya'll and pray for me. We will and will pray for all of you as well. God Bless
