Oh Andrea...don't go there. I am one. Did you read the post below from Joe's mom? Just got her call because he wasn't able to call on Thursday. I am praying for you. Let me know as soon as you get it okay. We just celebrated our wedding anniversary yesterday and my husband brought home a Coldstone ice cream cake. It's almost gone.

Joes Mom,....Oh no I'm scared now! I think my son was going to have his WT pulled also! I thought that was done a LONG time ago...like week one! Oh man, now I wonder if he will call today yet or tonight, tomorrow....Ugh I feel sick to my stomach thinking about it now. I REALLY hope I get a call yet this weekend. Is your son Ship 4 DIV 161 also (i forgot!)

I'm glad you got your phone call Joe's mom. Isn't great to hear their voice. My son's teeth got pulled on Monday and he said the Vicodin isn't helping him very much but he sounded great to me.

Your phone call should be reassurring to those moms' who haven't gotten theirs yet. There is still hope.

Have a great weekend all. We are almost to the halfway point :-)

luckily we are just a 4 1/2 hour train ride away.....WE JUST GOT OUR PHONE CALL!! He talked for 26 minutes. Said he was to call Thurs., but he got his wisdom teeth pulled. I started to cry, so I gave the phone to my husband until I got under control. We got a new phone not too long ago with a speaker so all of us were able to talk to him. He says bootcamp isn't anything like the movies!

NavyMommaB- I too have a daughter graduating this year! At times it's too much to handle. Her prom is the night after PIR, so she and I won't get to spend the weekend with our new Sailor. It's going to be hard to leave Friday night, but I'm holding onto the fact that he will be able to come home once he's in A school (atleast that's what I've been told).

Awww... Thanks Angie! I have printed out several post's from this web site to show others that iam not alone with my feelings. I had a friend ask me what it felt like seeing him walk away from me at the airport. I told her when I can convert all of my tears into word's I would let her know, & "proud" would be at the top of the list! Ü
