Peggy - I'm glad your son is doing better and you got to talk to him. My son called three people so I only got a few minutes with him. What details are you talking about?

I just got an upbeat call from my son too. I was surprised because his letter said he was having a rough time, but this call from him was much improved. He told me how his day started out and finished and also comfirmed another phone call allowed in 2 weeks. He gave me all the details that you all will get from your recruits and I pray all of you get to hear their voices SOON!

I got a phone call from my son about 50 minutes ago. He seemed really upbeat and outgoing. Says he really likes and is having a good time. I put him on speaker so we could all talk and hear him. Him and his brother were teasing each other on who is going to be stronger. Garrett says he is but his younger brother insists he will still be the stronger one. He said his next call could be another 2-3 weeks. He didn't know when it would be. He said he needed some envelopes so I guess I am mailing some envelopes to him and sending more stamps. He got a new bunkmate that is going to Pensacola as an AME, say as him. I am glad he is making new friends and is fitting in well. He said there are 72 of them in their division. I guess he told his girlfriend that they are wearing their Whites at graduation (different than what I read). I hope everyone else is receiving their calls as well.

My son is Ship 4 DIV 161. He is going to Monterey, CA to earn Chinese (for about a year and a half). He will be in CT as a linguist!! No personal phone call for me yet. Got a letter yest. though!!

My son was allowed a call home last Wednesday 3/310! Talked for about 10 mins! I was shocked he got to talk so long as my sons in Air Force boot camp only got like a minute! But, he needed lots of info for security clearance so perhaps that is why he got a longer call. He sounded good but had a really bad cold!

Hi everyone! My son is Ship 04 Div 162! Anyone else have the same?

Tina ( Ship 13 DIV 158) My son is Ship 4 DIV 161. He is also going to Groton for A school. He will be in a sub I think for sonar/radar, but I haven't heard from him since he arrived in Great Lakes so I don't know if anything has changed. Maybe I will be lucky enough to get a letter or phone call today.

JessicaBSailor, my son says he may be going to San Diego that he might have to stay at GL for a few days before he goes, but he says he will know for sure tomorrow and he will let me know in his next letter. He mentioned that the gym is HUGE! and that it finally stopped snowing.

Faith NJ Mom, Yes, my son is a body snatcher as well! Ship 6 div 922. so, this is what they do, they walk around during graduation while everyone is at attention and he makes sure no one locks their knees and faints. Makes sure everyone is okay. He is a grad and go and he will tell me more in his next letter.
