Yea !! Booked hotel at the Ramada Inn for the big graduation on 4/16. I have grandparents going, good thing there is a shuttle from Ramada Inn to the base.

The first time they got to write was last Sunday so everyone should be receiving their first letter. They can only receive and write on Sunday.

Thanks for the info on graduation - that's about what I thought too!
Yvette - make at least your hotel plans - you can always cancel them - you should have received the package with the hotel info.. We booked the Ramada only because that's where my husband wanted to stay - look for ones that offer transpotation - we are renting a car - but the shuttle just seems so much easier. I also like places that offer breakfast - I heard the shuttles leave about 7:30am for the grad.

Also - FYI to everyone - Expedia.com offers changable flights - you can get info from their sight.

My son better write soon!!! We all sent letters already!!!

I got my first letter today from my son. I cried the entire time reading it. Sounds like he loves it and is doing great. The first night they were up for 40 hours straight. They only get to write and receive letters on Sundays so he said to write every day so he has lots to read. He also said there is alot of yelling but he doesn't mind it and is already use to it. Sounds like he is eating well and meeting and making lots of new friends. I am so glad to know he is doing well and can't wait for my next letter. He did say he hasn't received any letters so hopefully he will get some this Sunday.

I got a letter yesterday and was sooo excited to hear that all is well. He says that the first two days were tough because they kept them awake for 24 hours. He says that it's gotten easier now that he has a routine. That for breakfast it's served buffet style and you have to load your plate cause you only get one time around. food is good he says.

Hopefully, I will get one today. Will have to go check the mail here in a little bit. Will report back any news.
