Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I will be easy to spot...my husband will probably be the ONLY guy in a cowboy hat in ALL of Chicago! <snorty>

 

My ex will be there too...no worries y'all, we are good friends!

 

And Amanda, my 9 yr old daughter...she is SO excited to see her brother. He moved to New Jersey over a year ago, so we haven't seen him in 14 months!

Hello Ladies...This is Freebird61 (Carla)...I need to really apologize to you all for not responding and being a part of the group...this has been a very trying time for me with my daughter and myself going through recovery (I AM CANCER CELL FREE) just heard last week...My daughter and me have a lot of history issues...that she seems to not be able to let go of....and unfortunetly I chose to disconnect from her...Please I LOVE MY DAUGHTER VERY MUCH!! but she wants to relive her younger years and I can't give those years back to her...She needs this time to grow spiritual and emotionally for us to have a relationship as mother and daughter and be able to go forward...not backwards in our relationship...My cancer has taught me alot...My children are why I decided to fight so hard to live...I don't want my history to repeat itself with my daughter's as it did with me and my mother... I need to say that I chose to not allow my self to be emotional bashed by her any longer...I thought the Navy would change her attitude towards me but she wrote some very hurtful letters to me...and that is when I chose to close the door for a moment our on relationship until she becomes to realize what her words have done to me..I hope you all don't judge me...I am asking a very big favor of anyone that is going to go to PIR...Unfortunetly not only for the reason above...I financially can not go to the PIR because I have NO INCOME coming in now that I am not Disabled I have had to have donations to just pay my rent this month.....I have been spending the last few weeks trying to summit resumes for me to go back to work...and I'm telling you I am not a 100% well ...But could I ask someone to please try to get to my daughter and tell Her I LOVE HER &HOW PROUD OF HER I AM...and PLEASE get a Picture of her ...so I may see her in her uniform...I would be so appreciative if someone could do this for me...If you can please email me at carladcooper@gmail.com and I will give you a pic of her and maybe someone can snap some shots of her...Thank You...this was very hard for me to open up to a wonderful group of Women...God Bless to all!!!
