How do you find out your ship number and division color and design?  I want something that has it on there?

Hay...thats the same scarf we wore...They also made a red one with an anchor on it..dont now if they still offer that or not. I will say..that scarf is pretty nice. Its not real heavy, and the ships wheel is pretty nice size. Also, its nice enough to wear anywhere at any time. Even my sons GF liked it (and thats saying something...lol)

sailormom---yayyy! my sons division wore bright yellow!! Awww...lol

The seating is by divisions, so you will be seated together. IF you arrive around the same time and make it a point to set together...It will seem weird because you dont know what each other looks like (unless you met at the M&G), but you will see each others scarves and know kinda who they are...lol I didnt meet any of my division moms at M&G, but at PIR...i approached the first yellow scarf i saw and introduced myself and OMG...it was so nice to finally meet them all in person. BUT...NO ONE looked like i pictured them to look!!...hahaha! Plus, they all had accents..LOL!!!

Bright yellow sounds good.  Should we open it up to our sister division 145?  Just a thought.  Also, not sure how this works...are we all sitting in the same section or will there be a sea of different collored scarves as you look into the audience.  It would probably have more of an impact if we all sat in the same vicinity, no?

(For Saturday departures)Usually after PIR they go back to their ship and pick up their pictures (if they were not mailed) and come right back to you. Then they leave with you and you have to have them back by 7 or 8 pm. Then you can meet them at the airport the next morning and visit with them until their flight time. (As long as they are not on a chartered flight) They won't know their flight time until the night before or morning of PIR.

I just called a phone number for the Great Lakes RTC and got a little information that may be helpful. My son will be a Saturday departure so I needed some answers (847-688-2405)

He said they will arrive at the airport around 2:00 to 3:00am Saturday morning-- it is usually the O'Hare airport but that is not for sure and SR wont know until graduation day.

Graduation starts at 9:00am on Friday and is over about 10:30am.

Then I lost my mind a little and forgot to ask what happens next as far as do they go back to their ship after grad and when can we see them again.

Hope this little bit helps.

dianne--i was shopping one day while my son was in BC..i ran into a Sailor (adorable), and i mentioned to him about my son always complaining in his letters about boys causing trouble and the whole division paying for it ..and he said the same thing. He said whenever you get that many boys together in one room, there will always be trouble. He said these are boys that would never normally 'hang out' together, and they come from all walks of life across the whole country, so its inevitable. They usually pull it together by the end, and all are respectful to each other..:)
