@annamichael... my daughter is going to A school in Pennsacola, so likely on same flight. She's in div. 147. I will be with her at airport as well. Scheduled my return flight for 1:30 PM so I wouldn't have to leave her.

@CDanielle... I am still praying for you both... keep the faith, no matter what. I believe the Navy will continue working with each recruit until they make it. Just don't give up.

Forgot to add this earlier... My boyfriend told me a lot of people in his division (144) will be going to Pensacola also for A school. Here is his info for Saturday -

Be at airport (O'Hare) at 7am - they are leaving RTC at 6.

Delta flight

Boards plane at 12:45pm

So, I will have a few hours with him and 7am is NOT too early at all. I was dreading he would have to be there at 2am or something. :) Let me know if your sailor will be on the same flight!

Danielle, I'm so sorry. I'm sure you are feeling down, and he is too. My thoughts are with you. :(
Comment by diannep on April 20, 2011 at 8:31pm

CDanielle:  He may get another chance in the morning, so don't give up yet!  He would then do BattleStations tomorrow night with the next PIR group.  So keep that phone nearby and please post if you hear from him.

FreeBird:  To answer your question about CDanielle's SR---if he doesn't pass tomorrow---he will be kept in FITT Division for a while so he has more chances. Not sure how long he will get to try, but know of one now-sailor who didn't make her run until 3 weeks after PIR.  So no one is giving up on him!
