For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by diannep on March 16, 2011 at 7:38am: So, Kricia. Check with those on here in Div 142 (brother division) also as they may know your husband! Just make sure to private message last names, don't post on the board here. Remember...the recruits know one another by LAST names...not first.

I wrote him and asked him if it was givin to him for special reasons or just cuz and does any responsibilities come with marching in the front row. Yeah they are going to make for some awesome pics. And close up video taping. I don't think I should wear make up cuz I'm sure I will be balling my eyes out like a baby lol. I'll just have to quickly do a touch up before they yell liberty lol.

Comment by janlee on March 15, 2011 at 8:00pm: megsailorwife---WOW...how nice to know your husband is marching in the front row during PIR, that will make for some good pics..!!! When the door opens up and the first division comes marching thru, its SO exciting, a real tear jerker moment.

My son said when he heard the roar of the crowd (from everyone in the stands...) he couldnt believe it..i told him.."you should have seen what we were seeing, and you would understand why everyone was cheering.." Its such a proud and glorious moment..:))
