I live in Milwaukee, about an hour away, definitely "blah" during that time. It's really unpredictable, it's that weird April-May change. Could be rainy, could be sunny and breezy.

My friedn who lives about 10 miles from the RTC said the weather is "blah" during that time.  HOPE that helps!

lbmom2navy:  They only make them open the mail in front of the RDCs if it is suspicious looking, too large, too thick, etc.  I don't think you have anything to worry about...and if he DID have to open it, it would not be a problem.  It's wonderful that your son did this before he left!  What a truly special time for you all.

J'sMom:  Yes, they do get to go outside...weather permitting...to march, etc.  They do much of their physical fitness inside....at least, in the winter months.  My son was there Nov-Feb so they weren't outside too much then.  Except to march ....and shovel snow!
Comment by diannep on March 14, 2011 at 9:06pm
MegsSailor....then NO WORRIES!  No, they do not make them open the mail in front of the RDCs...unless...it is suspicious looking---too big, too thick, etc.  Simple normal-sized letters...nope.  So I wouldn't worry about one little heart sticker from his precious daughter....not at all!
