For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

As most of you know my mom is in the hospital and after I got back from visiting her last night I had to turn around and take Phil to the ER. He hit his elbow on the steel lift gate of his work truck and said it didn't even hurt. Just tingled like hitting your funny bone. Well it looks like a foot (ankle & heel) not an arm. It's not broken though just fluid. I sure hope it gets better quick. They want him to go to an Orthopedic Surgeon later this week. ;-(

Comment by janlee on March 7, 2011 at 11:19pm: Proud- we stayed at the Ramada also when we were there. That is where the Meet and Greet is held the night before PIR so it was easy...just had to walk down the hall..:))

Comment by janlee on March 7, 2011 at 11:09pm: moms/Gf;s/wives, etc... if you find someone in your SR's division OR are just looking to find others in the same division....feel free to go to the discussion forum above and click 'start dicussion' and you can start a small discussion group for everyone who has SR's in the same division as you. This way you can talk, find out if your SR's know each other , etc...these moms/GF's etc. will become your best friends over the next several weeks. So, apart from this main board, you can have an individual division board as well. Its fun getting to know others who are in with yours, plus you can pass on info from calls and letters and try to figure out what the heck is going on in there..LOL...it just takes someone to start one and then others will join. In the Title...just type in something like.."looking for others in division blank,blank,blank...."
