OK...hahaha!! now that i found you guys and know that i am NOT losing my mind...lol i think i will sit awhile..:)) I went to the store and came back...and you guys disappeared....thanks to Lala, i found you.

Lala---are we able to post info above...or should we wait? I feel badly for freebird, this is a crazy emotional time for everyone. I dont think anyone can understand unless they have gone thru it...hope it works out for her..:(

Ladies, there are no 'tickets' for PIR...its all done by placing names on a list. They ask your SR's to name 4 people they want to attend, but there is room for more to to attend. Like Lala said, they may have to  wait to be seated, but they usually get in. Its something not to be missed, i was really impressed with the drill/drum teams. All the sailors look so mature and professional. Even though i loved the ceremony, i still couldnt wait for them to call 'Liberty", so we could finally see our son!!. Its worth it, for sure.

oh wow! okay this is all good news :) i would be the extra person his family would be bringing. Regardless of what happens, i'm still going to go and try to get in. If you guys find anyone with extra spots, please let me know!

Oh yeah, you can sit wherever you like. If you get in before the rest of your group just save them a seat we did. We had 13 div that week.

Did they still get to sit with their family even though they were not on the list?
Comment by Proud Mom (2nd Time Around) on March 4, 2011 at 9:24pm
I think so...I graduated nearly 20 years ago and I had no one at mine.  It is too expensive for many people so it's probably pretty likely.  Keep asking!  Regardless, I'm bring my two extra and they will hopefully be able to be seated anyway.

awe, no one came to see you? That is so sad. We took 4 extra people to PIR and they were not on a list but they got in. Good to find a place for the name though.

yeah same here! i've been writing him letters like crazy reminding him to ask around! do you think there's a good chance of that being able to happen?
Comment by Proud Mom (2nd Time Around) on March 4, 2011 at 9:08pm
I actually need two more tickets... hoping my son can talk one of his shipmates into that.  When I went to bootcamp...I didn't use ANY of mine.  Free tickets!

Is there anyone with loved ones on this division who has no family going to graduation or has less than 4 people on their list? I'm trying to find anyone possible to attend. Any help would be appreciated :D

I thought I was crazy too! I had the ship 3 div 143 group and THIS (well, that) group on my toolbar!  And they no longer existed!  I thought "Do they know something I don't?" lol Glad we're all back together!
