PIR was incredible.  So great to meet some of you and to get to throw my arms around my son.  He looked wonderful.  He had changed some.  Was a little more reserved and quiet.  We went to the Sears Tower on Thursday, then just hung out Friday evening and went to the Aquarium on Saturday.  Our visit was way to short.  But in three weeks we will see him again.  Thank you again for all of your help and support.

What an amazing weekend! The PIR was just breathtaking...a little anxiety over not being able to locate my sailor at first but I finally found him. They really do all look the same! Friday we chilled at motel, shopped at Gurnee Mall, and had a wonderful dinner at Olive Garden and more chill time. Since division 144 won the best division award we got an extra hour of liberty Friday...that was nice...!

I got back from GL last night. Thankfully I didn't fly because due to the bad storms in STL I would have been stuck. But Saturday I picked up my bf at like 7:30a. It was so funny to me having to sign him out and sign him back in. I am just so thankful they let me drive him back to his barracks every night because it was a long walk to the front gate. But Saturday we finally got some alone time together, then we met up with his family and he bought him a new cell phone..lol! He was so excited to have a new phone and his computer. He then wanted to go to the city so we took the long drive to downtown for some pizza & garretts popcorn. His family left late that afternoon, then I got him for another hour and took him back to base.Sunday he did call me at 5:30a to get ready to come get him lol! But it was so good to see him and spend time with him. I want to go visit him at least once a month since I am only 5 hours away. PIR was amazing, even though we did have a scare because they told his family he wasn't graduating and that they wasted their time coming....i was just told to go to Public Affairs, I met them and they made a call and he was graduating that day his name just wasn't on the list.

@LoveHim: I'm so sorry I didn't know he still didn't pass. I totally know where you are coming from because I got that call too. I would ask him would he be participating in PIR...because RTC told me if they passed after their division they wouldn't get to participate and go straight to their A school. I hope he does get to participate in PIR.

LoveHim:  Doublecheck with him that he will still PIR.  Because most times when they don't pass their PFA before their own PIR, when they finally do pass/do BattleStations with another group, they are sent directly to A School with no PIR.  Hoping that it not the case with your SR but that is the way it has been in the past.

Back from GL.  It was amazing and met some of you and the Meet and Greet. Only got maybe 3 hours with my son before he had to leave on a plane for Nuke school in South Carolina.  Hoping to here from him today with a new address. Miss him already.  Glad to be back in the nice warm weather of Texas.
