Hello Ladies .... I am looking for NOEL ?? WITH A SON IN DIV 923....
MESSAGE ME I TOOK A PICTURE OF YOUR SON =)
Jaime
sailormom: Hopefully you will get the I'm a Sailor call and all will be ok. She didn't call you and tell you not to come to PIR, did she? Usually that is what they make them do when they fail their tests...but they actually have until Thurs morning to pass, then do BattleStations that night with the next PIR group. So she has time...IF she hasn't passed....which she may have already.
I know it is hard, but remember....this happens in pretty much all of the PIR groups....and most of them end up passing and being at PIR. Others may miss PIR, but eventually pass the test and are sent on to A School. Prayers for you and CDanielle that they will get it done and be sailors soon!
The phone number that Lala was referring to is the Public Affairs Office number 847-688-2405....but they won't know anything until after her division has completed Battlestations.
I am curious to find out how they already know their home port as well. Unless they went in without a Rate (job) or they are reserves, or maybe they are talking about A-school. They usually don't find out where their first duty station is until they are near the end of A-school. Then that is determined by class rank and what places are available. Be sure and let us know how they already have this information.
Sailormom and CDanielle- I will keep both your recruits in my prayers. I know it is so hard when you don't know what is happening up there. And it must be hard on them as well even if they passed and are thinking you may not be coming to PIR. Don't cancel anything until you hear from them. And all you other moms who have SR's in the same div be sure and ask them when they call if they know about someone trying to pass the swim test and if they made it. Maybe you guys could send your recruits name to some of the others in your div so they can ask about them when they get the call. And I think I have seen Diannep or JessicaB post a number you can call a couple days before PIR to see if your recruit is on the list for graduating. I am not sure about that but maybe???
