amy--it will be in the form letter you received a few weeks after he went in. Anyway...everyone on here is in your sons PIR, so the password is the same for the whole group. Maybe someone can email you the password, but remember..it is case sensitive...all CAPS...lol

we never received a letter with the parking pass password.  my husband is calling the recruiter tomorrow.  we've gotten a few letters from our son, but only one phone call.  if i find out he used his call time on girlfriend (of only 3 months!) - i'm going to be HOT!

he'll be lucky we're just going to be so glad to see him!! :)

hholiday---So TRUE!!  I had to ship my sons clothes to him because he went to CT. He called and told me to send every pair of jeans he has because he didnt know which ones would still fit...lol

Turns out, they are ALL too tight in the thighs. He said it was from running, but i told him its probably all the junk food ive been sending in the care packages..:))

he is unable to wear any civilian clothes while he is on liberty with you. But he still may want something to lounge around in while he is in the hotel. Most of them just want to wear sweats/tshirts/shorts, etc...

amy---yes you are able to take your son civilian clothes for him to take back to GL aschool with him. Whatever he cant take, or doesnt want...you can always take back home with you. He only has so much room for things in his dorm.

Most Aschools run on a liberty card system. he will probably be able to wear civilian clothes a couple of weeks after he is settled in. But he will still probably want some lounging clothes right away for him to wear while he is in his dorm room.

they can wear civilian clothes inside your hotel room, but out in public, they need to be in uniform.

I was going to bring clothes, but then I decided not to (have to bring on the plane). I will ask him again when he calls, but I figure I can always send them. Who knows what size he is after all this physical work? I did see where one family said they took their sailor to the mall and bought him sneakers for his A school cause they will have some liberty there.

is anyone bring civilian clothes for their SRs?  mine is going to A school in GL, then i think his C school is in GL too.

i was going to bring his clothes, divided by seasons for him to choose from.  i don't know when they're allowed to wear civilian clothes.

thanks,

amy

lbmom, I'm wondering the same thing about when they get stationed.

Congrats on the honors!!! That's great! :) Can't wait til April 22nd! (My SR's birthday was Feb 25th..two days into BC and mine is April 25th..three days after end of BC.) So strange!

Happy Birthday CC!!!! :)

cclivingston, that is wonderful. It is music to our ears.   I just received a letter from my son and he said so far their petty officer is making curfew after graduation to be 7:00 p.m., but he said they are trying to make it 8:00 p.m. Even though he goes to A school after graduation, he does not start school till May 2nd. Then has 48 days of training.  He said because he is young and single, he might chose overseas first. I hate all this waiting and wondering where he is going to be stationed.  I wonder at what point in A school he will know where his orders will be.
