I printed my parking pass tonight - Yaahoo!  PIR is getting close!  I also received my ribbons I ordered from LalaRibbonQueen and they are great!  (Not too late to order for 4/22!).  I can't wait to them at PIR!  Unfortunately, my younger 2 children will not be attending PIR so they will wear their ribbons to school.

My last letter from my son did not have his battlestation date, but I looked at the Balltlestations above and this schedule was posted.

*****BATTLESTATIONS SCHEDULE******

Thurs, Apr 14th/Fri, Apr 15th      Div 139, 140, 141, 142

Sun, Apr 17th/Mon, Apr 18th      Div 143, 144

Mon, Apr 18th/Tues, Apr 19th     Div 145, 146

Tues, Apr 19th/Wed, Apr 20th    Div 147, 148

Hopefully I will get a call on Friday!

We're up to 100 members- that's pretty awesome. Even more awesome: nearly in the single digits with the countdown clock!

Good to know he will be able to go there. I wasn't sure. Thank you!!!!
Comment by diannep on April 11, 2011 at 7:50pm
He is allowed to go to the Navy Pier, Jenacfs.  He shouldn't have to be back on base on PIR day until 8 or 9 that night.  Gurnee Mall is always fun too for the sailors...and it is full of sailors after PIR just as the Pier will be.  Some take the train (station is right by RTC) into Chicago. Cheap weekend rate for the train.

Does anyone know if there is anything to do near the base after graduation? I will have my 4year old and our whole family. I do know about the Navy Pier and the Mall but the Pier in an hour away and i don't know how far i can take my SR. I will only have that day with him and then he leaves the next day to Florida for his A-School. Thank you all!!!

Welcome to all the new members joining our group. I am so glad you found us. If you have any questions at all please ask. Even if we have answered them before we don't mind at all. That is what we are here for. :-)

Thanks everyone for all the great compliments about the ribbons I am making for your PIR. This group is very special to me. Your ribbons will be shipped as soon as your payment arrives. Thanks again, Lala
