I received a letter today that my son's leg is all better and he was going to be able to take his final PFA which was last Friday. I'm sure he passed!! He mentioned he was going to have an extra special time in the confidence chamber due to having a bad cold, but was thinking positively about it saying, "maybe it will clear up my sinuses" LOL All in all, he sounded confident and I feel much better about everything as well.......Counting down the days!!!

lamarmama---so glad to hear he passed his fitness test. I know they really stress over that. As do we...their pain and anxiety is our pain and anxiety...lol..celebrate by breaking out the chocolate..or wine..(or both).. whichever makes you relax more...

Got passes printed out, plane tickets bought and a phone call yesterday to tell me his leg is healed and that we passed our PT test.  I was so excited due to the fact that the letter I received on Friday was not as good.  All is well now and time for celebration.

Up until PIR.

MaryJune:  If you send as late as the 18th, they probably won't receive them.  As Janlee said, we veterans recommend that letters stop 10 days before PIR, but if you want to continue sending them, then make copies of those and take them with you in case they didn't arrive.  The mail supposedly is forwarded to your sailors, but we know of many letters that never arrived.

ALL CAPS on the password.  Those having trouble printing the gate pass....try downloading google chrome or mozilla firefox....usually solves any issues.
