We have a SR in my son's division that hasn't gotten a letter yet!  I'm on a campain to get this young man as many letters as possible!  I guess their divison is having a contest to see who has the most letters at the end of basic.  I think it would be great if the so far letterless SR won!  Friend me and message me if you would like to join the letter campain.

Thanks!!!

I'm sure that as anxious about getting letters we are, our Sr's are just as anxious at mail call. LOL  = )

Yeah!  Glad you got a letter, ProudNavySister.  I think that's the first one received for div 125.  Hopefully Kimberly and I will get one today.  I still have 4 or 5 hours before the mail comes.

I'm hoping to get a letter today, too!  I have enjoyed reading all the posts from the letters everyone has received so far!  It is encouraging to see that all of the kids seem to be doing well - and they still have their sense of humor!
Everyone from ship 9 div.125 - hopefully our letters will arrive soon!

Hope we get a letter today!  And as far as getting in trouble for receiving too many letters, we sent my other brother (the one who graduated last week) so many letters.  He said he couldn't keep up and was feeling guilty because he didn't have time to write everyone, but he never got in trouble for too many letters :) and he also said it gave him something to look forward to everyday, so I'm doing the same for this brother.

Yes, my son actually is pretty funny, and he's always been a writer of short stories and he writes songs and plays them on the guitar-guess he won't be doing that for awhile! I'm really glad I have his videos to watch now and then of his songs.  And you're right, for those that don't have 'writers' in BC, you will know by the things we hear that all is well.  Mine said they are forming strong bonds and learning to become a solid unit...it just takes awhile when 80 of them all have to do the same tasks.  And as for showers, he said privacy is gone!!
