Hi I am new here and was hoping to interact with others. My son left 2/7/11. I still have not spoke to him. I am praying he is ok and adjusting to bootcamp.

MomaSeal, your son is a riot. It is so good to hear he is so upbeat this early in the journey.

I saw someone posted that they posted on facebook for their SR's friends to send letters. That is awesome. I did that as well. Just make sure you post on there that they cannot send musical cards or care packages. :-)

:-( ....nope, no letter from mine yet either.  I  put another one in the box though and watched for that flag to get put down..... nope, nothing yet..maybe tomorrow!

mumzipooh~I think you are right~it sounded so good when I presented it...but that was when I thought dad might get to the mail first...now I think it will be me, and I dont know how/what i would do with a letter staring me in the face!  Luckily, we work at the same place, although hubby is usually "out in the field".  "Oh, please come tomorrow little letter...when we are both home!!"

Jimscupcake - I would break that pact in a heartbeat!

Keep telling me what those boys say since my son told me he is sleeping when he is horizontal!

So excited to read about those who have received letters...that is such good news.  We are on the West Coast...seems we were a few days behind with form letter and box.  Hopefully tomorrow~that is assuming he wrote to us.  Hubby and I made a pact to only open letters if we are together...wow..if I get the mail and cant open it for several hours...tht might just be the end of me!!  Again...YEAH!!! for those who have had a letter arrive!!!
Comment by MamaMia on February 25, 2011 at 5:26pm

Thought you'd all appreciate my son's opening line: Every night we have to get an hour long massage and it is hard to squeeze in any letter time between the five course meals and the bubble baths. Of course there is always cocktail hour, but it would be rude to the attending females to ignore their company as they are taking time out of their busy modeling schedules to lift the morale of us strapping young recruits...Ha! He wishes!!

Just got back in town. No letter yet. Maybe, just maybe the mailman hasn't made it here today yet. You all are so fortunate and Mumz wins the prize for getting o talk to her son soooo much! I am so jealous, but extrememly happy for you!
