Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This group started on 2/8/11 and we survived boot camp, laughter and tears.  Now our recruits are sailors and headed in many directions, but we'll continue to support one another throughout!

Thanks Mumziepooh = )  Stressful last couple of days!  Feel so much better knowing the DIV #  and now PIR ~yay!! Now to get my husbands leave approved and flight booked yay for progress!

Is anyone familiar with the hotels around the base?  Would love to make reservations, but not sure where.

Denise, how wonderful to receive a phone call.  That is a blessing!  We received our first letter today.  Our son has been sick, but apparently that hasn't otherwise affected his PIR date.  Hoping for letters and phone calls for everyone!

My son is Ship 9 Div 126 also and we haven't recieved any letters from him yet, - thanks, My heart is in Boot Camp, for the info about the letters, We have decided to stay at the Navy Lodge, It is only 1 1/2 miles away, Haven't decided on a flight yet though

I just read a post from the official RTC poster on the RTC FB page that states "The recruits are able to write the first Sunday they are in their ships. This does not include their in-processing days."  So, our SRs should have been able to write last Sunday ~ letters please!
