When is the honor recruit list going up?  I just checked & the website said 2 days before graduation, but this week's aren't up yet.

Navyrules-- they'll get paid... it'll just be late.  From what I understand.

So excited we left a day early ...guess we can scope everything out ahead of time.

Ya'll hear, if Govt shuts down first ones that dont get paid are the Military?

Good info, Lala. Thank you. The last I understood from my son is that he thought he had to fly out on Friday. :'0(  That means that I might have to share what little time he has with his dad and step mom. Sigh.... but, nothing will limit my time with him though! NOTHING!

Safe travels everyone. Between this and our little discussion group, I have felt very informed and supported. A special thanks to Craig for all of the first hand info that you provided to us and gift suggestions. You have all made a difference in my experience and I thank you all from my heart!

We arrived at Ohare at about 5:30 and there were already lots of families waiting in the USO. The USO at that airport is before security so you don't need a pass to wait there. By 6 am there were Sailors everywhere. So I would say you can go as early as you want. We never made it through security because our Sailor was on a chartered flight and didn't get to come into the airport at all but I have heard you have to meet your sailor before they go through security in order to get though.

I have a question for the momma's in the know - how early can we go to the airport on Saturday if security doesn't open until 5?  Do we need our Sailor with us to get a gate pass?

Riptide~my son leaves Saturday as well.  I will make every moment count thats for sure.  I was hoping for the whole weekend...but what can you do.  I guess I have the end of A school to look forward to when he will,God willing, come home for a few days.  However long we have Friday is going to be absolutely amazing.  So what if we planned for a weekend...the memories will be priceless and I will cherish them forever.  Can't wait to see them in their dress blues....

Thanks to all you Navy Moms for all the support.  When I look back now-what i thought was going to be forever actually went really fast...

Goodnight ladies and to our Sailors!

LOL...that's okay MamaSeal...in all the excitement, how in the world are we expected to keep EVERYTHING together. Holy cow, I haven't gotten 1/2 of my stuff lined up. I'm going to be working overtime...and I have a track meet to go to for another son. LOL

NavyMom, I am so sorry you are not going to get more time with your baby! That is so sad! :-(  For ALL of you who are going to be sending them off on Saturday, my heart is breaking for you!
