Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This group started on 2/8/11 and we survived boot camp, laughter and tears.  Now our recruits are sailors and headed in many directions, but we'll continue to support one another throughout!

Congrats to all the  new Sailors for april 8 PIR ... I have 10 left  to see my SR some know  but he was in the Siq and got pushed back a week so I "originally " started with you all ... Ill be there in Spirit Fri  and will wear his  first Division tshirt 123  to work on fri as well ... safe travels everyone !!! And God Speed !!!

kiwi...a friend told me..this is something we will remember for the rest of our lives..one day that will forever be with us...my son leaves's Saturday as well..

My son is a sailor!!!  All of 128 past.  Sounded tired but so happy.

 

Never have the words "see you Friday" sounded so good.

 

Thank God in heaven...

 

For some reason the words "band of brothers" comes to mind.  From what he told me they were just that and came together when they needed to the most.

 

Life is good!!!!

My SAILOR just called me back and I got 30 more minutes of talking/listening...yep, says they have all been ill and is really looking forward to the 10hrs of sleep tonight!

I feel so good now!

Congratulations to all new Sailors and stressed out Mom's! I is such a good feeling once they call! Those of you that are leaving tonight or tomorrow< have a safe trip. I don't think I will make it to the Meet & Greet-my flight won't get there til about 6:30 - but, will see you all at PIR! Congrats again <3

I too just got the call Ship 11 Div. 127.  My son is a Sailor---sounds exhausted and found out he was in the hospital 2 x since the last letter. At least he said they will get 10 hours sleep tonight!  So reliveved. Can't wait for Friday!

I have a son that is now a SAILOR!! 15 minute call. Sounds exhausted...and sick! Glad to be done...ships out in the early am Sat. To be able to say..."See you Friday"...ahhh...
