For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This group started on 2/8/11 and we survived boot camp, laughter and tears. Now our recruits are sailors and headed in many directions, but we'll continue to support one another throughout!

I am excited for next week anyway, it is nice to know its almost over. I'm sure the SRs feel the same.

Comment by MamaMia on March 31, 2011 at 10:06pm: KiWi, just went to groups and used the search engine-another mom asked this from another division and the answer she was given was: from the way my son described the Hall of Fame, this is for when a division wins the captains cup, but does so with scores that are above a specific standard. " And they get extra liberty time.

My son seems to think the 807 is a good candidate for the Hall of Fame and if they win, they get two extra hours of leave on Friday night. soooo, what exactly is the Hall of Fame? He's had that nasty cold too that's getting them all-just not getting much sleep, but they are giving that final push!
