Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

SHIP 12 DIV 165

Hello ladies and gents, I thought I would set up a link just for our division. I know that our color scarf is to be yellow at PIR. I also have found out that our recruits will be getting 2 division t-shirts that they can give to whom they want. I have no clue who is setting up this division meet and great yet. so if anyone wants to take care of that please do. I dont know where I will be staying at yet. Ill post any more news as I get it. have a great day.

My SR did get to call again today. He said that of they did not get to call last week, then today was their turn.

They are all coming together better and doing well.

 

Nate's mom  - Nate said to say that he may not get to call as he called last week, so he was not sure. He told J to pass to you that he said "Hello and he is well". I do hope that he does get to call you.

 

Phone connection was much better this time, no yelling.

So glad that you got another phone call.  We are halfway there.  Hope the next 4 weeks pass as quickly as these have.

Hi Everyone,

My daughter Jaz she is in div 165. I have been following the post and I really enjoy reading and getting info from you ladies and your sr's. I also recd a call today which made me so happy and it was also her dad's bday. Jaz told me this week will be hard because there will be alot of test. So ladies lets send out our prayers so that our sr's do well.

Hell week is where the training intensity picks up.  This week they should be doing weapons training and getting their graduation pictures taken.  Next week is the dreaded gas chamber or confidence chamber as the Navy likes to call it.

Nate called his girlfriend Sunday which is great for them to be able to talk.  PIR can't get here fast enough, Nate said he keeps playing in his mind when we get to see him after graduation.  I hope you are doing well and not too much longer before we get to meet.

I did some reading on "hell week" and supposedly that refers to seal training.  While our SRs pick up the intensity of training, it really isn't a hell week.

 J said the same thing about the "hell week" but he was also excited about it.

I did ask him if he was getting to do more intresting things now he said yes. From this point foward it will be things that they will really use.

I made him laugh because I asked him why did they have to iron their underware? Then before he could answer I said "wait, wait, wait, I know this one baby. It is because if you are caught with your pants down you are still looking your best" He laughed really hard and said that I was a smarty pants and that he missed that. I could just picture his smile.

It was good to hear him laugh like that. However, that is not the reason, for ironing the underpants.

J is so glad to have Nate to talk to, he said that he is funny and that he is "good people" ( that is a Texas saying, it means that he came from a good family and is a person that you can trust.)

 See you in 22 days! and the SR's in 23!!!!
