Lala, the Residence Inn is actually down the street from the Walmart shopping center.  Springhill Suites and Courtyard are right there next to Walmart shopping center though.  All are Marriott hotels and nice...and convenient!

forevermom.. on the fb  US Navy Recruit Training command page  they said that any recruits going out of IL for A school, will be leaving sat.  :(  I am kinda bummed about that.

foreverMom, I was on a facebook page for the training command center and there were people discussing the PIR weekend.  Some of the sailors ship out on Saturday for their specialized training and others have the whole weekend off.  I think it depends on where they are going after graduation, not real sure though. I would like to understand that better myself.

Wow...all you in div 925 getting your letters!  That's great.  Hope my SR can write soon.

I would guess 160 would be in this PIR group. Looking at the size of recent PIR groups, the smallest amount has been 7 divisions, so that would be at least 157-161, 809, 925. The PIR could be bigger than that, too. As soon as I see it on the link above, I will change our group's name.

no form letter for me either,,,i think it must be coming via pony express, of course i am overly anxious too.  i don't see anyone with div 160, but that is the division his recruiter gave to me.  I saw my son in the FB pic too, well maybe not, but it was great to see some of what's going on up there!  I'm reluctant to book anything until i'm sure about the PIR date, should be 5/6??? just waiting impatiently here :)
