foreverMom:  Hmmmm...we never saw the indoor pool and it isn't on the Marriott website...only mentions the outdoor pool which is heated.

However, the Courtyard (another Marriott hotel) DOES have an indoor pool and it is close by.  Is it possible that they told you that you all could use their pool if you like?  Because I have heard that before from other Navy families.

no Val, I know...you didn't sound rude at all!  I was just making light of my mom's wishful thinking.  You're right diannep, they will be in amazing shape..mentally and physically.  Its a good thing.

mamasan -- I didn't mean to sound rude! My comment wasn't directed at you or your son's earlobes. ;)

Robin:  The words your SR wrote to you all about not worrying about him---that they are taking care of him--- would be music to the ears of most all of the ladies on here!  But it is true...they are watching your SRs closely.  I actually was very peaceful when mine was there...I knew he was safe, in at night, supervised, being mentored, learning, and I loved that they are fed good food and there is no alcohol, nicotine, etc...for any of them.  I will say... most of them say they have never felt better physically in their lives....probably because of the more pure bodies, the consistent exercise, sleep, and good food.  Their physical bodies look so good after bootcamp!  And they feel great!

well, you would think...but clearly I was mistaken..the earlobe question and all.  Forever..how did you get a text?
Comment by Valtameri on March 17, 2011 at 11:42am

I was kidding, forevermom, but it does give some comfort to think he might be in the group!

I found that when I downloaded the picture, most of the faces in the front were very clear. If any of those had been my SR, I think I would know.

Comment by Valtameri on March 17, 2011 at 11:24am
You just keep thinking that. I'm sure the guy waaayyy in the back with his seabag in front of his face is my son. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Val!  You're so funny.  I just looked at flights...Its going to be really, really expensive.  Have to work on that one..  Everyone in the family thinks I'm wrong about the photo on FB.  My daughter said that his ear lobes aren't connected...I can't believe she looked at the ear lobes!  I guess I just really wanted it to be him.  I think I'll keep thinking it is!  lol.
