Hi Jenn Ship, thanks.
I wasn't sure if we could cut things out from the newspapers (one recruiter said "no", but I guess if it fits in a standard envelope, it's fair game to send?? I also read on the bootcamp.navy site in the family guide that small pictures are okay to send, too. Before he left, we had a family gathering for my son and my sister-in-law (who has a son in the Air Force) had all the siblings, cousins & gf's & bf's write him notes in cards. She plans to mail them to him through the weeks. I'm sure that will help keep his spirits up. (Especially the one from his brother- I got to read that one, and it should def. make him laugh :) )
Hi Robin a nukes mom,
Yep I know what you mean. I asked our recruiter about spending time and he said there's different scenerios like they could be free for the weekend or they may move right out after Friday. I'm finding that all the uncertainty makes it diffucult to plan for flights. Looks like our boys will be studying together in SC. How cool!
Hi, jbird,
Yes, that's what we've been told all along- A school in SC. I'm just wondering when they'll go, hopefully we'll be able to spend a couple of days in GL with him before he ships out.
Hi Robin,
our son is also in the nuke program. I understand that they will be going to A school in SC after boot camp. My son is div 159/ship 12
