Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hang in there, ladies! I know I will get my "I'm a sailor" call soon! He can do this and it will be wonderful. Can't wait till Friday and I get to see my little boy now a man. I can't imagine him in a uniform, marching. We are proud Navy moms!

first time navy mom- if a recruit is having a hard time with one component (swimming, physical fitness assessment, one part of inspection, etc- but generally doing well in other things). Then they will get additional opportunities to pass that one area. They have to pass before PIR - or they will be ASMO'd (put back in training). Lots of times the RDCs will take them to swim every morning or run every night until they can pass..

from my count on what i have seen is divisions that have done BS is 107,108,806,916 that is 4 out of 10 dvisions 6 divisons still needing to do BS not alot of time left .STRESSING OUT

I will be praying for your son Torib.
I will be leaving early in the morning on the way to Great Lakes, I will be keeping everyone in my prayers as i know some are still waiting on a call. Congrats to all who received calls. Can't wait to meet everyone on Thursday. Good luck too everyone!!!!!
