Has everyone decided on a color scarf to wear for PIR? I think most people voted red. I don't even own a scarf, but i half to buy one anyway because i know its gonna be cold there. I live in southeast texas, don't need things like to much.

As long as you are getting letters - I wouldn't worry too much. no news is good news...means he's not hurt, sick, or being put back n training. Could be for a host of reasons.

sailorsgirlfriend- I think what might have happened is that a phone call is a privilege not a right. I know when I have received letters from my sailor he has said that phone calls depend on test scores and behavior. I also know that the divisions behavior is taken into consideration. Dont worry. The navy tries to make the men dependent upon the other men and the navy. Just remember, getting a phone call can sometimes be worse than not getting one, some phone calls come with bad news.

Just received not so good news...My son is a grad and go:( I had planned to take all over the area to show him around (because I grew up in Chicago) leave it up to the Navy to change my plans...I know "(if the Navy had wanted my son to have a family they would have issued us in his sea bag)!!!

~Skyjan, Praying for your son. Found a group that might be helpful, "Sailors on Med Hold" that you might want to join.
