YEAH!!! Chris called !!! we got to talk for almost 20 minutes. He sounded great except for a horrible cough. He called around 6 PM EST. He said that there are quite a few people in his division who can't seem to be quiet and it has cost the whole division demerits. But - he said they got their first flag the other day. They seem to all get along - just a lot of chatter boxes from hat he said.He is actually the AHPO..cleaning the head "bathroom"..LOL..said it was an open position ad he volunteered (just like home - he said) HAHA - but he gets to go to breakfast earlier and so he gets a chance to eat!! All in all sounded great...as made friends and is glad he is in the Navy...is looking forward to PIR and excited about his uniforms... :)

My husband is laughing at me because after I read all of the "I GOT A CALL" posts, I started walking around the house with the phone in my pocket. I also made him go to the gym without me because I was afraid I'd miss the call. He can't fool me...he's anxious for a call too. :-)

Still haven't received a letter yet, though. So glad to hear that you all are finally getting that phone call. Doesn't it make you feel so relieved to hear their voices and to know that they really are okay. Is anyones son/ daughter regretting it or all we all just as happy as they are?
