Can I ask what time they are usually calling? Is there a normal time - or just whenever? I hope Chris gets to call home soon.

I am so happy right now! I got letter #2 from Chris today - what a difference 1 week makes. He said he knew his first letter was negative - but that things have gotten better. he id fail his first PFA - had really bad blisters - but he said that they got him a blister pack and a chit for his sneaker and it is really helping. He still hasn't gotten any of our letters and said that is true of basically everyone. His only worry now is being moved back to an earlier stage of training - but he is determined to graduate on time. He said that they made him Assistant RPO??? I called my friend Mike who is a Petty Officer in Groton and he said that s the AROC who calls the cadence?? He said that would explain why hris said in his letter that he lost his voice. All I know is Chris was very proud of it and wanted me to call his recruiter and tell her;) I am just so happy that he is okay and feeling good about himself. Everyone said that there would be a BIG change...HOLY COW!!! Now I am starting to get excited instead of be worried!!!

Hi All,
I think they pull wisdom teeth for everyone that has them - or at least most. It's because they don't want them to end up having problems with them when they are out at sea - or at least that is what my Navy friends have told me. I have only gotten one letter form Chris - and it was pretty upsetting. BUT...I'm sure he wrote that week one and now it's going into week 4.. Hang in there. i have been pretty stressed myself. Half wanting to get a call - and half relieved that there hasn't been a call because that way I know he's on schedule and making it through okay. I would bet that most of us will start getting a few more letters now that the worst is behind them. The bright sides...we probably all have cleaner houses, are meeting new friends, and our kids are on a terrific journey that will stay with them forever...;)

I am so sorry, i know how you feel, i got my first letter yesterday, and my mother in law received hers on saturday. But today(wasn't expecting it) i got another letter.:) He sounded alot better than he did in his first letter. The mail is messed up or something. He has gotten at least one of my letters, cause he mentioned something i wrote in it. Hang in there it will come! I will pray for it to come quickly. He said they pulled his wisdom teeth, thats making me wonder, why did they do that?

Chris,
I'm glad to hear that you got a letter from your daughter today, I wish I would have received one from KayLynn. I am going crazy thinking that she also thinks that we are not writing. I also went throught the whole bootcamp thing twenty two years ago, but I too feel so helpless right now. I hate to think that they are having a hard time grasping the idea of team work. The whole IT thing doesn't make me feel any more corforted about what they are going through. I miss her so much and I hope they all know how much we miss them and how proud we are of them. Hopefully they will receive all their letters from the past 2 weeks at once. I too have been writing daily. Thanks for posting your comment.
