I've "heard" folks talking about these pictures, however; I have not seen them.  Does anyone have any they are willing to share or know of an order form to get them??

does GUT Retrenching count...cause I have been there since Sunday when my son called and I heard that crackle in his voice...I want this so much for him because He wants this so bad that he took a Reservist position on 4/14 instead of waiting for July to come around...See he's 25 yr.old and feels he is to old already. Thank You All for letting me vent...really thought we would hear something in letter form by now?!

And tossing and turning at night! Not sure if it's menopause or worry. Probably both. Oh, being a mom is tough sometimes ;)

I should chime in. I've just been "listening" -- so busy right now. Yes, I heard about the bad, choir, drill team thing online. As far as writing, I feel kind of guilty that I have rec'd the box and the form letter early and a (rather long) phone call on Sunday. Don't be jealous though :) -- it's not likely that my son will write, at least not much! It's really nice to read all your comments. You are all so funny and dear. Best wishes for a bright future to the recurit who had to leave. It can happen to any of us --I'm still in nail-biting mode and probably will be until June 11th. I want to say to all of these young men and women that I am so proud of all of them for their effort. Nothing worth anything is easy in life and it took such strength, courage and good character for them to sign up at all, no matter where they ended up. Love you guys!

ZMom - My son flew out with Kenny form Flagstaff and I was able to meet him and his father... a great kid... I was wonderin about him becuase when I spoke to my son he had said that he had not seen him since they processed in since they were in different ships & divisions. It is great to hear that your son is doing well. Thanks for sharing.

Great News all...

I received my first letter (other than the form letter)!!! Zach is doing fine. He says he has made friends with a lot of the guys. One he spoke about is Kenny from Flagstaff AZ. He said he is going through alot of physicals because of his job...(SUB) He calls it a Triple Threat in the Navy? Anybody heard of that? He said after week 2 of all the testing that he might move up to an E-2 if his scores are high. Overall, Zach sounded pretty good. He didn't say when he would get to call....Im still waiting for that phone call...but for now I guess a letter is good.

Sorry Sajest you best come up with your own tune then. Or maybe you just have to be closer to Chicago. I'm thinking that maybe Steven's pencil point broke and that is why he hasn't written. Another thought is Did Steven have his wisdom teeth out before he left? Maybe because Ian went toothless he had the time Steven didn't Things that make us go hum!!. :D

Moon blossom - I too am sorry to hear about your son. It must be devastating or at least serious disappointment for both of you. Please do find/start a Ship 5 group where those who are in this situation can vent and grieve together. If it happens to us, we will check in with you there! Peace.

moonblossom- I am also sorry to hear aobout your son,....Like the others have said your posts have been great. Please stay with us and remember that we are all still hear for you. I have had some struggles in my life and what keeps me going is the fact that I believe that all things happen for a reason if even you do not realize it for a while.... Please let us know if you need anything. Let your son know how proud we are of him and to keep his chin up.
