Okay BunkerBee, I did it! I just created a "Grad & Go Info" group. I really need HELP from anyone who has experience with a recruit who is/was a G&G - or if you know info that would be helpful for others. I feel good about answering most questions, but I don't want all the input coming from me. It's not my group, it's everyone's group!

I just started it 15 minutes ago, so I really need others to join. Okay, even if it's just to make me feel better and to give me some company because it's weird seeing only one member!!!

If you have a G&G and have questions, this group will do their best to answer your questions. Thanks for your support!

Cheryl - It was a true blessing. We missed her last call by 10 mins. And I guess she called her dad at work also. So she got a lot of time to talk to both of us. Praise the Lord!!!

Matilda - you know I was thinking about that and I think she meant something else. It has to do with the Saber/Sword. I don't know.

RPOC?
Comment by Stef's Mom USS Bonhomme Richard on June 19, 2010 at 8:16pm
I am so so happy right now! ;-D I just got off the phone with Stefanie. We talked for 1 1/2 hours. I think she was on a sugar high because she said they were aloud candy and soda and she was definitely chowing down some candy while she was talking. She is so happy this is almost over and excited to move on to her A-School. She said she isn't going to be with her Division at graduation because she is a back up to the RPOC, so if the RPOC falls out she gets to take over. She told me to just keep an eye out for her. I am sooooo excited about this week. Graduation is only 5 days and a wake up away. She said BS is Tuesday night and it should be tough but thought her div would have no problem passing. I am so proud of her!!!!

Answer to Captain's Cup question: For some divisions, it's right after BS-21, for others it's right before. It's a fun, competitive day of field events (running, races, etc.) where all the divisions in that PIR group compete against each division. The winner gets a special flag to display at PIR too. This is a team event, so it's designed to reinforce the concept of working together - they must cross the finish line with others in their division to win/place. My son loved it, even though his division did not win the Cup.

Kyles Proud Mom, Kyle is in my prayers right now. I know how disappointing this is. Just remember that Kyle has done his best and only God knows the outcome. Galatians 6:2 - Bear one another's burdens , and so fulfill the law of Christ. I am here helping to bear your burden and praying that everything will work out for him to continue on in his Navy career. Sending you lots of hugs!!!!!
