The calls come in on Wed or Thursday? We are leaving here on Thursday morning. You'd think they would give us more time between the call and the graduation

Valerie: I dont think you will miss the call as the calls come between 12:00 and 6:00. I know long span.. LOL.. You should be in Chicago or Milwaukee by the time they start coming in.. Is your flight direct or do you have a lay-over somewhere. I am hoping we can keep my son over night as he learned he doesnt leave for Mississippi until the 29th.. But I am sure he will have to go back to the base.. : (

Question???? Do our recruits have to return to base every night on the weekend or do they get to stay with us until Sunday evening? Anyone know for sure?
Comment by annafornavy on June 15, 2010 at 5:08pm
Just think next Tues.. at 8:00 pm BS starts... I will not be able to sleep. So they are up from 5:00 Tuesday Morning until lights out at 8 or 9 Wed night.. WOW... I hope they have re-couped by the time we see them on Firday... I have a picture of my son every where. At my computer on my dash in my SUV. On my computer screen at work.. ALL over the kitchen where I spend most of my time... LOL... I love him so much and I cant wait to get to him...

Nancy, it's definitely 6/25 for DIV 226. I think that's why they had so many runs scheduled this week. I'm just worried since my daughter just healed from hip stress fractures. Trying the link now.

I found this elsewhere on this site:

A "push division" gets through boot camp faster, they get "pushed up" in training by a week or two, graduating immediately after battlestations instead of doing more training. I'm not sure about the details of how it works, but some graduate in 7 weeks instead of the usual 8, or occasional 9 or 10 weeks (for those who were stuck in processing for two weeks).

Valerie,
I have 6/25 as the graduation and now I'm panicking. Need to get more information.

What a fantastic video of the living flag! I have goosebumps all over from watching it over and over! I just posted it to my facebook profile!!!! :))))) I'm getting so excited! Just booked our flight and hotel and am ready to go. My heart goes out to all of our recruits and I pray they continue to have the strength and determination to make it through these last few days. The count down is ON!!!!

My daughter's letter dated June 9th tells me that DIV 226 is what they call a PUSH DIVISION, graduating on 7-1 - since I'm new here, has this already been discussed? She said that as of 6/9, the DIV still had three 20-minute sustained runs to complete before their final PFA, which is scheduled for this Friday, June 18th. Can someone confirm that for me?

Nancy, I can't get the link on facebook to work :(
