Ladies... My brother Andy was in the Army and stationed over in Germany and he married a German girl and they had a son together. My brother was home on leave in 1988 over Christams and was killed in a car accident Jan 3rd. He was going around an icy curve and my car he was driving went up on the bridge rail he flipped into the water and broke his neck. He was 22. The story behind all of this is that I have kept in touch with my nephew all these years. I have been to Germany a couple of times and he has been here but it has been 5 years since he has been here. He is flying in June 21st so he can attend Dustin's graduation... I am so incredbly happy... My brother would have been so proud of Dustin and so proud of his son that he is coming to honor his cousin, and be here for the biggest event in his life... My heart is so happy. I am not going to say anythng to Dustin. He will be so surprised to see little Andy here... LIFE IS GOOD.... I am walking on clouds of happiness today. I was so hoping just maybe our DIV's would get to call home today just like last Monday... You get all excited for the anticipation that it might happen and then you slide all the way back down when it doesnt.. : ( I am still thankful for last Monday though...

Emily, she can't change the names on the list, only Joey can do that,Best off to let her find that out on her own so you don't look like the bad guy.If extra room at PIR i understand they could get in after the main 4 are seated if extra room.Good luck sweetie

Wow ladies,I am glad I am not the only one with a mother in law(soon to be for me-feels like it for about 4 years now though) who is making all the plans. According to her we are flying in early and experiencing the city. I told her the trip was for Joey, not for us.She does not understand it,nor does she understand that there is a list they have to go by for entering the PIR,she has changed names twice and wants it to be a "surprise" of his older brother being there(who he has not seen in many years). But being a mother....her son is "different" so the plans should change because you know....her son is like the ONLY one in boot camp right now.Haha.(From her standpoint at least)

Any advice as to approach her again and make her understand?

Hope everyone's letters come in this week and all is well with families in waiting!

Good morning ladies, hope everyone is having a great weekend. Sumi and akissei, Your married for goodness sakes. Your mother-in-law should more than want to give you and your family time together. I know being a mom and mother-in -law that you are excited to But, your wife and child should be first and foremost in his eyes now.Sounds like they need to get a grip.Hang in there girl's i'm sure your husbands won't let that happen.Sumi, If i had been making airline plans, i would have paid for your ticket, not let you sweat it out. Bless your heart.I know how inconsiderate mother-in-laws can be, i had one and swore i would never become one. Good luck girls! Love you all
