Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks Anna, He was suppose to open one with Navy. I would think unless he is confused that paper work for that would have been done. I don't know.

lol anna ...yea maybe this weather will get out of trhe way for them..until some go to florida in july then its really going to be hot....one of my daughters friend is there now in A school and she says she takes alot of showers from sweating

I dont blame you for freaking out.. I would be too.. They can make more than one. I told my son he could call his girlfriend first and use his time with her as long as she called me and gave me every detail.. He tried her no answer so he called me and talked for a half hour he was going to try her again and his little brother. He left his little brother a message.. : )

As long as they have time and card left john, made 2 calls one to grandma, and one to mom.I was under impression they all got calls today. Hope you all get yours, it really helps.

jih: It is very humid all week it is going to be bad. Dustin said they have shooting range this week. Next week I hope the humidty is not so bad so they can ge through HELL WEEK without this added heat... I say bless those RDC's all that testosterone and hormones flying around GOD BLESS THEM... LOL...

I thought when the DIV calls everyone gets to call unless he is on watch then he wont be able to call until next time.. OH I hope that is not the case for you.

ANNA:thanks for the ecnouraging words for me....ur son sounds like what my daughter gets to do for her division in the front of the line....im sooo proud of all our kids....they say its really hot and humid there right now...so hope they all have plenty of fluids so no one passes out with heat exhaustion...but i know the commanders are hard on them to make them stronger but i do know they do care about our kids also....i give them all credit having to put up with all those kids and attitudes lol...good luck to all

Janet - Did he have a bank account open at home that he is having his money deposited into? You can check that if you have his information. Dustin opened an account with the Navy Bank.. He was with Chase and hated it and his recruiter told him to open one up with the Navy because they have great rates on loans..
