Katelyns MOM: Thank you for the information that is most helpful. I know he has 4 names on his list but his recruiter told us other people can attend. WIll he have to have another list with their names as well or can they just come with us? Do you know?

Nancy: I know it has to hurt so much you can not attend. As moms anything big that happens in our childrens lives we dont want to miss out on it.. Tell her to order the video for the ceremony next time you write her. I know you would rather be there but at least you can watch her ceremony.. Bless your heart..

Hi Everyone, my daughter is Ship 9 Div 226. Her name is Victoria T. I'm heartbroken that I can't attend the graduation. We have a severely handicapped little guy so I'll be home with him. My husband and daughter are going and two of my daughter's friends. It was awful having to make the hotel, airline and car rental ressies for them when I can't even go. I've been watching videos of graduations that people have posted on youtube and I cry when I watch every graduation.

Hello Rescue. I bet that you hear from her by Sunday. You will be the first if not only one that she will call. (Although she should call her Aunt first) :) I know that she misses you a ton! Cheer up lil fella =) Katie is loving CA. you better let us know when you do hear from her. Post on facebook. Take care.

annafornavy (ship 09 DIV 223 )The reason that you have to be there so early is b/c you have to go through check in. You may or may not have your car checked. You stand in a long but quick moving line that wraps around the building, you move in the building, show your id, and give them the info of your Sailor. Then you get to walk across the street to the building. No photos allowed outside of the graduation building. There are bleachers that have the div. numbers in front of them. So yes you get to sit in front your Sailors DIV. My three year old wont sleep. I'm sorry I have not slept for a few days. :) I hope that this makes sense. =) It is such an awesome ceremony! My daughters DIV was the first one to enter the building, and she was on the outside...so I saw her quickly. There will be around 800 sailors graduating I believe. You will love it! You can order a copy of the ceremony too. We haven't recieved ours yet.

rescue: We have not heard from our loved ones either. We are hoping maybe tonight or tomorrow. My son said he would call in 3 weeks, well this is 3 weeks. And I read they have to give them their 3 week call unless they are on watch and miss the calling because of that. It is a very long time to be apart and it makes it harder when we have little to no communication with them... Letters normally arrive Wed or Thursday as they write them on Sunday and they are mailed on Mon. I cant wait to hear how my son is doing. Hang in there.. We are all feeling what you feel and we are here to help anytime...
