GFmichele - I booked flights through travelocity. Their redeye flights seemed to be the cheapest. See if the Red Carpet Inn has any rooms left available. It's 1 1/2 miles from base and 1/2 the price of the other hotels in the area. Good Luck!

I've written 4 letters, sent a pre-paid phone card, and today I printed out 14 pages of his facebook wall for him to read for fun. I hope he doesn't think that I'm smothering him!??? Am I going overboard?? He just left on 5/4.

jih1029 - I sent my son with his debit card. His recruiter told him that he would need it.

N139 - I am sure it will make his head go tilt... LOL... But hey at least you wrote him and that will make him smile.. I feel like my son is going to be overwhelmed with my letters.. I ask a 1,000 questions and I have written him a novel to many times.. He is going to write me and say mom.. Can you keep your letters a little simpler please... LOL... He know how I roll though...

Torn to Pieces: All I keep saying over and over to myself is; this too shall pass... this to shall pass... knowing the finish line is closer than when we started.. YIPEEE!!! I hope we get a call this week too...

KatelynsMom: Question for you since you have gone through this.. I know the gates open at 6:30 at Great Lakes for gradution. Do we have to be there at 6:30? If so can we walk the campus and look at things or do we go straight to the hall for graduation? It seems so early when it doesnt start until 9:00. Also does each divison have assigned bleachers where our children will be in front of us and not down at the other end? LOL

annafornavy: I don't think that I slept the whole time that my daughter was in boot camp. I would stay up and write too. I am sure that many of my letters didn't make much sense, since I was lacking good sleep. =)
torn to pieces: I can totally understand, bless your heart. hugs to you! There were days that I would go to work just feeling so down that my co-workers would come up and give me a hug. It did help sometimes. Have a good day!
