A Happy and Blessed Easter to all my NavyMoms out there!! I reeeaally thought I might hear from my SR today.... I didn't. Still no letter or call. He left on 4/6, feels like an eternity to me, and I'm sure to him as well!! Was a very difficult Easter for me at home. I do hope he had the opportunity to go to church, and hope he actually went!! I was praying so much in church this morning, I actually got very teary at one point and thought I was going to cry, right there in church!!
Funny, a few people have compared this site to Facebook.... I also, now check this site first, then Facebook!! One of my friends even posted on my FB wall, that she feels like she is losing me to Navy Moms!!! Kinda true : ) This site is so supportive, we are all going through, or have been through, the same things!!
09 / 191 ,,, anyone gotten a letter from their recruit in 09/191 yet besides the one 'form letter'??
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Easter - I went to sunrise service and again with some of my kiddo's at 11 - it was very special to think of my recruit so far away and doing such a wonderful thing for his country! Looking forward to dinner with the rest later today - prayers for us all!!!! hugs

@ Meruhnawife Thanks for the info @ least I know I can plan a dinner with her.
@Diannep That post was beautiful gave me some comfort Thank you! Actually thank you to all navy moms, being new here and having the support is just so amazing I don`t feel so alone! I find that I am more on this site than Facebook now ... Happy Easter to all !!
@TK: Not until they hit Phase II liberty. Phase II means they can leave base in civilian clothes, and usually must have their "liberty buddy" with them. I believe that depending on where they are, family members are also allowed to check them out so that they can go out without their liberty buddy, but again that depends on where they are.
Phase III is much more lenient, they can stay out overnight and don't have to have a liberty buddy with them.
They hit Phase II around 3 weeks (3 weeks after school has STARTED, wait time before class starts does not count as part of their A school time), but it depends on their behavior. If they act up or do anything wrong they can lose Phase II even after they're earned it.
