Remember we are all in the same boat, have many of the same concerns, have many of the same questions, expiriencing the same emotions! Basically we all need the same support! So please use this group to get any support you need!  I hope you will all be able to attend PIR so we can then finally meet in person as well!!    THANKS!!!

@Rachel's Mom: My hubby is in the same ship/div. I have heard nothing yet other than the form letter :( I didn't get the form letter until last Friday, so it's possible it will be later this week too.

I just joined this group but have been on the Nuke Moms group for a while since that is the job my son is trying for.  He is in ship 07 Div 188.  Would love to hear from any one else with similar division,  Haven't received letter or phone call other than the form letter.  Hopefully he is not in a division that gets in trouble a lot but will deal with it if I have to.  Can't wait for June 3rd.

I got my first letters, yes letters I GOT THREE OF THEM....... He is doing so good and sounds grown up, likes the uniforms, likes the food, marched 1 1/2 miles, tired, I feel so much better!

Parrothdgal - I was told by a friend that the kids need to vent to their parents - it gets the stuff out without taking it out on the wrong people

and they will get better!!!   Hoping to get a letter soon from my son

also hoping easter phone call - that would be awesome

prayers for them all

Thanks for the link mmiles. I know my hubby wasn't in them s:02 div: 929 (he's so tall he almost was TOO tall to get in...easy to spot in a crowd), but I had no idea something like that existed on facebook. Very exciting :)

Parrothdgal, it is going to be VERY tough on them the first few weeks. You really get yelled at the most the first month that you are there. This doesn't sound nice, but it's really about breaking down the individual to bring out the group effort. They have to learn to depend on each other and work for each other and not themselves, so that they can do their jobs correctly. Sad to say, but yes, all of our loved ones will come back at least a little different than how we sent them off.
