Received my "formal" letter (with graduation info...etc) in yesterday's mail!  I was so excited to FINALLY see my SR's handwriting and to read the brief, but very precious, words he had written at the bottom of the letter!!!!  He said that things were "going good" for him, at RTC, but he missed home.  He also asked if I'd bring him some "boxers" when we come-up for graduation...guess he's not too fond of the government-issued undies!  (HA !)  We've made reservations at the Comfort Inn, in Waukegan, for the PIR.  I'm soooo anxious to give my sailor a gigantic hug on graduation day!  Still haven't seen many in my son's ship 09, Div 189 posted here!

mmiles, I don't know about the traffic in the a.m., but we flew into Milwaukee at around 4:45p.m. on a Wednesday.  Traffic going to Waukegan moved along pretty good.  There were no delays at all and it took us a little less than an hour to get to Waukegan.

Does anyone know what traffic is like from the Miwaukee airport on US 41 in the early AM like 5:45 OR in the evening  around 6ish??  Looking at tickets and times to fly in and out!!

I was wondering... how much longer until we get a letter? I know she would write and send me a letter as soon as she possibly could. Any ideas?

jc-navymom, just go on your page where your name is, put your cursor on it and it should say Click to Edit.  That will change it on your page.  To change it completely, go to Settings, then click on Profile, you should see where to change it a few lines down.  Don't forget to go to the bottom of the page and click Save after you do change it.

They normally don't take pictures at the captains Cup.  This is what RTC FB page has posted now:
Captain's Cup is not a regularly photographed event because it occurs outside of normal working business hours for the Public Affairs staff. It has only been covered twice as part of special assignments.
So those who do a pic of their SR at Captains Cup are very lucky :-)

Thanks for the info!  Now, can someone tell me where I can change my user name too.  I'm sure it's staring me right in the face, but I can't find it.

ac-amysmom, The Captain's Cup is a friendly competition between all the divisions. It's pretty much just for fun, than anything else.
