Thanks for the added advice about using her name.  This was never an issue with my son and he did have the highest security clearance one can get because he was EOD.  Never disclosed where he was...last name, company, where he was, ect.  But I don't want to make her time anymore difficult than it has to be.

nmiles, I had to clean my sailor's room after he left for boot camp, because we were selling out house and moving across the country.  I spent hours just crying over the stuff that he wanted to keep.  :(   It's funny, though because when he went to A school, I was telling him things that I was keeping for him, and a lot of the things that he wanted before BC, weren't so important to him anymore after BC.  When he comes home next time, it will be home in another state (that he hasn't lived in, in 12 years) totally across the country.  Luckily, our extended family is all there, so it should still feel like home to him.  :)

Another good reason not to post names on here, is because some of your SR's will be going into jobs that need extensive security clearances and are very secretive.  You may as well get yourself used to not divulging any personal information, now while you are taking all this new information in like a sponge.

mmiles:  That's great!  Can you add those division #s to the title of your group?  After the PIR date.  Helps me with my Battlestations dates and helps others to find you.  10 divisions...that is an average size group!  You all should be on the RTC Grad page on Monday.

Ok so our PIR date wasn't posted on the bootcamp.mil.gov page yet BUT it was posted on the RTC's FB page. They started a discussion group where we can ask questions directly to the people who work at the RTC!!  Pretty cool!!

We are TG29 10 Divisions (185-192, 812 & 929)

lcstive:  You may want to think about not using your SR's actual first name on here either...just so you can talk freely on here without any comments getting back to her "bosses" since they can connect her with you.  The "bosses" actually read JessicaS's sailor's nickname on one of her posts when her son was in bc, figured out that he belonged to her from some comments, and brought him in to ask if this was his nickname.  Harmless banter, but believe me...the SRs don't want attention like that focused on them!  Jessica and I both have sailors who PIRed over a yr ago and we have learned alot since then!  We were such newbies before and I know I made my share of mistakes!
