For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello All! My name is mmiles (aka Michelle) I am now the new ADMIN for the group since LisaB received her letter and her Recruit will be graduating a week earlier! If you have any questions please let me know. Also please remember do not type in the last name of your recruiit any where on thie website....big NO-NO for the Navy!
Remember we are all in the same boat, have many of the same concerns, have many of the same questions, expiriencing the same emotions! Basically we all need the same support! So please use this group to get any support you need! I hope you will all be able to attend PIR so we can then finally meet in person as well!! THANKS!!!

Who has received a "I'm a Sailor" call: Please include division and time of call if possible and if you know if the whole division passed.

My Daughter called me at 3:34 pm central time on Wed. May 25th. She is in division 187 and stated all passed in her division. We talked for 20 mins.

Ooops, just had another thought. I noticed that some of you have your SR in your profile pictures. We have found that it's probably not a good idea to have a recent picture of them on the site. The RDC's have been known to read the groups and I'm sure that you wouldn't want your SR to be singled out or harassed by something that the RDC may have seen on here. It's just a precaution, just like not using their names on here.
A lot of the parents in our PIR group posted baby (or toddler) pictures of their SR's and it was fun to see how cute everyone was as babies.

mmiles, thank you for the warm welcome. I am actually one of our veteran moms as well and am here to offer help and support to you all, like Janlee, Lala, Dianne and JessciaB. It just takes me a little longer to catch up with the newer PIR groups. My son graduated from BC in December and is now in Pensacola, FL.
I did read back a few pages that you were wondering what the beeping was on the page. There is a live Chat down in the right corner and that beeping would be people posting on that.
I did also want to mention one thing that I had not seen on here and thought I would pass on the information If you had your SR on your car insurance, you may want to call your insurance company and have it suspended while they are in BC. We did that with my son and it saved us over $300 while he was away.

Hello All!! Got home and as I watched my younger son run to the mailbox to see if our "letter" was there...I waited with baited breathe...YES we got the official letter! It was mailed on April 11th and we got it today 14th, not a bad turnaround!! So now I can make travel arrangements, since confirmed for PIR 6/3!!! I even got a short message at the bottom!
Letter and the Security call all in one day.....Smiling from ear to ear!!

I saw a you tube video of Battlestations 21. Go to you tube and search Battlestations and CNN. It's an amazing video and a real good look at what our kids will be going through!!
