For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello All! My name is mmiles (aka Michelle) I am now the new ADMIN for the group since LisaB received her letter and her Recruit will be graduating a week earlier! If you have any questions please let me know. Also please remember do not type in the last name of your recruiit any where on thie website....big NO-NO for the Navy!

Remember we are all in the same boat, have many of the same concerns, have many of the same questions, expiriencing the same emotions! Basically we all need the same support! So please use this group to get any support you need! I hope you will all be able to attend PIR so we can then finally meet in person as well!! THANKS!!!

Be sure to go to the events page and RSVP for the Meet & Greet Thursday night before graduation! This is a free event even if your not staying at that hotel.

Who has received a "I'm a Sailor" call: Please include division and time of call if possible and if you know if the whole division passed.

My Daughter called me at 3:34 pm central time on Wed. May 25th. She is in division 187 and stated all passed in her division. We talked for 20 mins.

We were only allowed to drive to the chapel parking lot, which was right past the NEX. But that was on PIR day...he flew out the next day. Maybe they allowed people to drive further back for the rest of the weekend?

Comment by diannep on April 13, 2011 at 4:07pm: Remember to check out Milwaukee prices in addition to Chicago. Southwest=no change charge, free baggage shipping for 2 bags; milwaukee usually has cheaper flights and is just a few minutes further from GL (easier driving--less traffic).

Comment by Parrothdgal on April 13, 2011 at 4:01pm: I saw the Days Inn hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder if there is a way to check it out I think if you google them ppl leave comments about hotels. I am more worried about the part of town I end up in. I also like the walking distance to restaurants and lounge! I also have a a club card to earn free nights.

I also happened to land a good job. So from now on... let the saving money begin. I cant wait till I can wake up next to my gorgeous sailor wife again! GOOD DAY TODAY!

I haven't reserved anything yet. I'm a littl worried about quality of the hotels. I live out in WA state and Days Inns in this area are all fine hotels but you never know across the country.

Icstive~ You daughter and mine are on the same ship and Div. :D I wish I cold but a video of some of the physical training. ...LOL Good footage to show at the party!

Going to be an expensive weekend just to see him for 24 hrs or so but WORTH it!!! I haven't booked anything yet but will as soon as I get THE letter!!!
